Disabled Access

Our new Orrin caravan has been specially designed for the use of guests with mobility difficulties, including wheelchair users. These special features do not in any way impede use by fully mobile guests; they just show a little extra care and thought given by the deisgners to how all guests can enjoy their stay more easily. An access ramp will be installed this year in addition to the more usual caravan steps with handrail. All the interior doors in Orrin are wide, sliding doors and there is that bit more space in each part of the caravan. Although it measures only a foot shorter than the Conon caravans, Orrin is designed as a three berth, with a single bedroom and a double bedroom and a further single bed which can be made up in the lounge area, if necessary. The beds in the bedrooms each have fixtures above the beds so that guests may bring additional equipment to assist with lifting, if required. Access to the shower has a lower threshold than standard and wider opening and inside the cubicle there is a handrail and folding seat. The toilet has handrails on both sides and is raised slightly, and there is plenty of room to manouver in the bathroom. Any guests who have any special requirements can just give us a ring at any time or drop us a letter or email and we will do our best to accommodate them. After all, we want you to have a good holiday! |
